Nomination papers can be taken out from the office of Buxton Town Clerk John Myers in Town Hall, 185 Portland Road, for several elected positions.

Open three-year positions include those now held by Select Board Chair David Field and Vice Chair Francis Pulsoni. Two planning board terms include one for three years and another for a single year, along with two budget committee posts for three-year seats.

The three-year term of Myers, current town clerk, will also expire. But Myers said in a March 10 email that he’ll seek reelection.

Completed papers for all municipal elected positions must be submitted by 4:30 p.m. Friday, April 10, in the Town Clerk’s Office.

For the Maine School Administrative District 6 School Board, one opening with a Buxton residency requirement is available for a three-year seat. The expiring term is that of Cynthia Meserve.

Nomination papers can be acquired at Buxton Town Hall or the MSAD 6 central office at 94 Main St. in Buxton. Completed papers must be submitted to the Buxton Registrar of Voters by March 17 to have signatures verified and then taken to the school district’s central office by March 26.

For more information about municipal nominations, call Myers at 929-6171.
