OLD ORCHARD BEACH – Anne Elizabeth Davis passed away on March 7, 2026, at home surrounded by her loving family. Anne was a daughter to the late Richard and the late Joanne Milton and was raised in Westbrook Maine.
She graduated from Westbrook High School in 1979 and attended Andover Tractor Trailer Driving School in Andover, Mass. She had various jobs driving trucks including a job at Dodge Oil Company delivering heating fuel. It was at Dodge Oil where she met her long-time partner and husband Charles Davis. Their romance lasted 40 years and only ended with Anne’s passing.
Anne drove a school bus for the Old Orchard Beach school system while raising her twin daughters. She was a member of the Old Orchard Beach Alumni Association for staff members. During the summers, Anne was driving the bus for summer camp programs and field trips.
When her daughters graduated from high school, Anne went back to college. She earned a degree in nursing and became a registered nurse. In nursing she found a passion for caring for and helping people in need. She was happy to share medical knowledge with family members who called her to consult on everything from bee stings to cold symptoms. She most recently worked at Southridge Rehab and Living Center in Biddeford. She loved her colleagues and the residents there. She was quick with a smile and always happy to lend a hand and help anyone with anything. Anne would leave pens on her colleagues’ desks just to make them smile. Her brightness will be missed. Anne was also the Secretary at the American Legion Post 76 Auxiliary and a member of Saco Grange #53.
Anne is survived by her husband, Charles Davis of Old Orchard Beach, her sister Deb Fritzson of Raymond and a sister Nancy Heath of Westbrook; her stepchildren Lisa Gagnon (Rene), Charlene Koehling (Peter), Alan Davis (Kyla), Fred Davis, her daughters Deborah Leighton and Nancy Sult; adult grandchildren Ryan Gagnon (Heather), Jessica Stagg (Sam), Adam Conroy (Ali), six younger grandchildren; and five nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Anne’s life will be held at Blue Point Congregational Church UCC, 236 Pine Point Road, Scarborough on Saturday March 14 at 2 p.m. Casual attire is appropriate and welcomed.
