Robert T. Dalpee

CASCO – Robert T. Dalpee Jr. passed away peacefully at his home in Casco, on March 26, 2025, with his wife, Carol and his granddaughter, Hannah by his side.

Robbie was born Feb. 2, 1961, to Robert Dalpee Sr. and Shirley Dalpee. He grew up in Westbrook and graduated from Gorham High School. While still in school there, he went to work at Maine Medical Center as a housekeeper. After graduating, he transferred to the paint shop and continued to work at Maine Medical Center for a total of 47 years until he was terminated from employment due to his illness. When Rob passed, he and Carol had been married for 33 years.

“On March 26, it will be one year since I lost my husband, and this world lost a wonderful man to pancreatic cancer. He was a friend to all, a man who understood hard work, and an individual who was loved immeasurably. As husband and wife, we were dedicated to each other no matter the challenges. And during his last months, and after his passing, there were challenges indeed and totally unfounded allegations brought forth by others. But we persisted and I dedicated myself to fulfill the wishes of this good man. Twelve months after his passing, we are now finally able to celebrate with dear friends and loved ones for that witty, funny, loyal and ever so kind soul.” As a friend recently said, “Rob was the man”.

Rob was witty, funny, loyal and always ready to be there for others. All it ever took was a phone call from someone who needed help. He was there. He knew how to have fun riding his motorcycle or boating or hunting and fishing or playing on the Maine Medical Center bowling league. Whether you were family or friends, his expectations for the absolute and uncompromised truth and personal accountability were unwavering. He will always be loved and missed.

Rob is survived by Carol Dalpee, his loving wife of more than three decades.

From a prior marriage, he leaves a son, Robert C. Dalpee (Nadia Dalpee), granddaughter Hannah Ross and grandson Alex Dalpee; daughter, Nikki Small (Mark Small), and grandchildren, Gavin, Rylan and Landon. He also leaves behind daughter, Kayla Dalpee, and grandsons Logan and Evan. He is survived by sister, Pam Holyfield (Kirby Holyfield).

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Hall Funeral Home, 165 Quaker Ridge Rd., Casco, ME 04015 from 3 to 5 p.m. In honor of Rob, please feel free to wear any tie dye clothing you like. Following the service, we will be continuing his celebration of life at the New Gloucester Eagles Club located at 354 Sabbathday Rd., New Gloucester, ME, 04260 from 6 to 8 p.m.
