ELIOT – Marilyn T. Hamm, 85, of Eliot, passed peacefully on March 8, 2026. She was born in Boston. Mass., on April 22, 1940, the daughter of Edward and Elizabeth (Nelson) Tansey.
Marilyn graduated from Lawrence High School in Fairfield, Maine. She went on to work many roles in life as a business partner, bookkeeper, and hospice worker, eventually retiring from the U.S. government’s Department of State as a fraud analyst.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Edward Hamm, Stephan (Lilly) Hamm, Karen (John) Cavanagh; her sister, Barbara Poulin, her brother and his wife, Alden (Daria) Tansey, her sister-in-law, Darlene Tansey and her partner Wilbert Bland; as well as her grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; her brother, Edward Tansey; and her nephew, Mike Tansey.
There will be a private family ceremony per her wishes.
