Rep. Nathan Carlow, R-Buxton, recently announced his bid for reelection to the Maine House of Representatives in District 137.

“I want to build on the progress we’ve made, address Maine’s affordability crisis, and ensure Maine remains a great place to live, work, and raise a family,” Carlow said in a video posted on Facebook.

Charles Tilburg of Buxton is the Democrat seeking the seat. Both candidates are running unopposed in the June primary election.

The district represents Hollis and part of Buxton.

Carlow said in a press release that he has chaired caucuses on broadband infrastructure, housing policy, and co-founded the Legislature’s civility caucus. “My experience and collaborative problem-solving has allowed me to deliver results for our communities,” Carlow said.

He also said he secured funding for the new Hollis Town Hall, advanced reforms to support Maine’s trade industries, and advocated for fiscal responsibility in state spending.

Carlow, 26, is the youngest member of the Maine Legislature and is currently serving his third term. He has served on the energy, utilities and technology committee, the appropriations and financial affairs committee, and the education and cultural affairs committee.
