Jean Dupee Lloyd-Rees
FALMOUTH – Jean Dupee Lloyd-Rees, 95, died on March 30, 2026, at Falmouth House at Ocean View in Falmouth, Maine. She was born on Sept 8, 1930, in the town of Winchester, Mass, the daughter of Elizabeth Carter and Charles E. Dupee.
She was educated at the Buckingham (now Buckingham Browne and Nichols) school in Cambridge, Mass. and was a graduate of Wellesley College, Class of 1950.
In grateful recovery since 1977 as a proud member of Alcoholics Anonymous, she served for many years as a volunteer at Mercy Hospital and later at Crossroads for women in Windham.
She is survived by her daughter, Victoria L. Smith and her husband Stephen K. Smith of South Freeport, her son, David C. Lloyd-Rees and his wife Susan Collins Lloyd-Rees of Chebeague Island; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, David L. Lloyd Rees (m.1955); her daughter, Katharine L. Kennie (wife of Reginald Kennie) of Portland; and her grandson, Trenton D. Lloyd-Rees of South Portland.
The family expresses heartfelt thanks to the superb staff at Falmouth House at Ocean View in Falmouth, which she called home for the last six years of her life. The family also extends its gratitude to Compassus Hospice for their exceptional care.
There will be no funeral, and a private interment will be held.
