Paul Lawrence Rand
BREMERTON, Wash. – Paul Lawrence Rand passed away peacefully on March 5, 2026, at the age of 83 after a short illness.
Born in Buffalo, N.Y. on Jan. 23, 1943 to Lawrence and Thelma (Brandt) Rand. They moved to Maine in 1946 and settled in Portland on Munjoy Hill.
Paul attended local public schools, graduating from Portland High School in 1959. Less than a year after graduating, he joined the United States Air Force. After serving for 20 years, Paul retired and began his second career at Lockheed Martin in Sunnyvale, Calif., retiring after 17 years.
Paul loved bowling and was an avid sports fan his entire life.
He was predeceased by his parents Lawrence and Thelma; his wife Linda; his two sons, Paul Jr. and Darren; and his sister Marylou.
Paul will be greatly missed by his brother Dale and his wife Anne; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
