The New Hampshire Fisher Cats scored nine runs in the sixth inning and beat the Portland Sea Dogs 15-9 in the finale of a six-game series in Portland.

Catcher Geovanny Planchart led the Fisher Cats with a four-hit game, while Sea Dogs first baseman Drew Ehrhard picked up a pair of hits and drove in five runs.

Ronald Rosario got the Sea Dogs on the board early with an RBI double in the bottom of the first. It was Rosario’s first hit of the season. New Hampshire then scored twice in the second to take a 2-1 lead.

An RBI double into the right field gap by Portland’s Ahbram Liendo tied the game in the bottom of the inning.

Portland got back out in front with four runs in the fifth, buoyed by a two-out, two-RBI single by Ehrhard. But New Hampshire responded with a big inning of its own, scoring nine times in the top of the sixth. Sean Keys and Jace Bohrofen each homered in the inning for the Fisher Cats.

New Hampshire added a couple more in both the eighth and ninth and Portland rallied for three runs in the bottom of the ninth.

Hayden Mullins got the start for the Sea Dogs, surrendering one run in four innings. He was relieved by Joe Vogatsky, who picked up the loss after giving up eight runs in 1 1/3 innings.

The Sea Dogs fall to 4-4 on the young season while the Fisher Cats improve to 4-4.

Portland will be on the road this week with a six-game series against the Altoona Curve, starting Tuesday night. The Sea Dogs return to Hadlock next week for a series against the Hartford Yard Goats, with the first game slated for April 21.
