Rockland Public Library will screen the 1930 film “All Quiet on the Western Front” at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 30.

This Best Picture winner is based on the 1929 novel by Erich Maria Remarque and directed by Lewis Milestone. The film centers on a group of German schoolchildren who are persuaded to enlist and depicts the horrors they experience as new recruits during World War I.
