FREEPORT – James Henderson Eves Jr., 89, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Feb. 14, 2026 in Freeport. Born July 6, 1936, in Paterson, New Jersey, Jim maintained ties to Brunswick, where generations of the Eves family have lived and worked.
Jim is survived by his children, Kimberley Dearborn Eves, James Henderson Eves III, and Heather Elaine Eves; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and their children; and the love of his life, Wendy Legg.
A private family gathering will be held according to his wishes.
