Avery Bariteau, Fryeburg junior: The defending Class B champ at both 100 and 200 meters, Bariteau was second in the 200 meters at the indoor Class B meet with a time more than a half-second faster than her winning outdoor time.
Rowan Barry, Greely senior: Last spring, Barry won the Class B 800 title in a meet-record 2 minutes, 13.6 seconds, and finished second in the 1,600 and 3,200. A returning Varsity Maine Outdoor Track and Field All-State pick, Barry won the Class B cross country title, then helped the Greely Nordic team win a state title with first- and third-place showings. She’s back to running an looking to help the Rangers defend their Class B team title.
Zoe Carroll, York senior: Carroll won the Class B indoor mile state title and was third in both the 800 and 3,200 last spring at the outdoor state championships. She looks to be in good form this spring with 1,600 and 3,200 wins at the early-season Bob Morse Invitational at Yarmouth.
Jacqueline Diallo, Traip Academy sophomore: As a freshman, Diallo placed second at the Class C meet in both the 100- and 200-meter dashes. This past winter, competing in Class B, she was third in both the 55- and 200-meter dashes.
Laurel Driscoll, Scarborough senior: The defending Class A champ in the 1,600 meters in a fast 4:54:00, Driscoll is another returning All-State performer. As a junior she was also second in the Class A 3,200 and placed third in the New England 1,600. This winter she was again Varsity Maine Girls Indoor All-State after placing second in the mile and 800, then placing third in the New England mile. A key scorer for a Red Storm team coming off an indoor track championship.
Sloan Gardner, Cape Elizabeth senior: A returning Varsity Maine All-State girls outdoor track and field performer, Gardner is the defending Class B champ in the shot put and was third in the event at New Englands. This indoor season, she won the Class B meet with a throw of 40 feet, 5 1/4 inches, then topped that with a Maine-best 41-4 3/4 throw to finish 10th at the New Balance Nationals. She’ll also compete in discus and javelin.
Isabella Harmon, Scarborough senior: The 2026 Varsity Maine Indoor Track Athlete of the Year after winning Class A titles in high jump, 55-meter hurdles, and pole vault to help Scarborough claim the team championship. Had Maine’s best marks in high jump (5-6 to win Class A) and pole vault (11-3) last spring, when she earned Varsity Maine All-State honors.
Miah Jacobs, Yarmouth junior: Last year, Jacobs was second to Bariteau in the 100 and a member of the Clippers’ title-winning 400 relay team at the Class B championship. This winter, she won the Class B indoor 55 dash title, was fourth in the 200 and earned Varsity Maine All-State honors.
Anna Jennings, Marshwood junior: Another Varsity Maine Indoor All-State pick, Jennings won Class A indoor titles in the 55-meter dash (Maine-best 7.22 seconds) and long jump, and placed second in the 200. A former lacrosse player, Jennings has shifted to outdoor track. She and indoor triple jump champ Sydney Leveille give the Hawks two top-end, multi-event scorers at the state meet level.
Georgia Moon, Falmouth junior: Moon was already part of the current group of excellent distance runners in Maine and then took it to a higher level indoors this winter, breaking a 40-year-old Class A meet record in the mile with a time of 4:58.35 seconds. The indoor All-State pick has 800 speed with 3,200 stamina.
Elliette Musica, Brunswick junior: Musica is the top Class A returner in the 400 (third last year) and was the best in Maine over that distance indoors, winning the Class A title and then lowering her indoor PR to 59.25 at the Adidas Nationals. She’ll also compete in the 100, 200 and relays.
Hadley Perry, Falmouth junior: Perry is the top returner statewide in the 300 hurdles, in which she finished third in Class A. Also expected to score in the 100 hurdles with enough flat-out speed to place in the 200 and be a key relay performer.
Margaret Tripp, Thornton senior: Tripp is the defending Class A champion at 3,200 meters and finished second this winter at the Class A indoor meet. She’ll be challenged at that distance by Portland freshman and indoor champ Nora Schmidt.
Macey Weisberg, Cheverus/Waynflete junior: The top Class A returner in the 200 meters, where she placed third in 26 seconds behind since-graduated Emerson Flaker of Scarborough and Lauren Vanidestine of Brewer. Weisberg on the Class A indoor 200 and was second in the 55 dash, earning Varsity Maine All-State honors.
Victoria Zandan, Greely junior: A proven multi-event scorer at the state meet level. In an All-State indoor season she won the Class B long jump and was second in the 55 hurdles (Maine season-best 8.51 seconds in the prelims). As a sophomore, Zandan scored 35 points at the Class B championship to lead Greely (86 points) to the title, winning both hurdles races and the long jump, with a fourth in triple jump.
