Indie rock singer-songwriter Liz Phair will make an appearance at Portland’s State Theatre Sept. 23. Tickets go on sale Friday morning at 10 a.m.
Phair’s The Flannel and the Fury tour kicks off Sept. 6 in El Cajon, California.
Phair broke big in 1993 with her debut album “Exile in Guyville,” featuring standout tracks “6’1″” and “Never Said.” She quickly followed it up in 1994 with “Whip-Smart,” which delivered the single “Supernova” along with its infectious title track. By 1998, she returned with “Whitechocolatespaceegg” with the catchy song “Polyester Bride.”
Four albums have followed, most recently 2021’s “Soberish.”
Tickets to the Sept. 23 show are $55 in advance and $60 day of show (general admission). They go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. on statetheatreportland.com. To save on fees, tickets can be purchased in person at the State Theatre box office on 609 Congress St. in Portland on Friday from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and on the night of any State Theatre show starting one hour before doors open.
