SOUTH PORTLAND – Sandra Jean LeDuc, 77, of South Portland, Maine, passed away peacefully surrounded by her children and grandchildren on April 23, 2026.
Sandra was born on May 20, 1948, in Amesbury, Mass. to the late Eugene and Ann (Eaton) LeDuc. Sandy grew up in Massachusetts until the family moved to Portland, Maine. Sandy graduated from Deering High School in 1966. Sandy married John Piteau and had two daughters, Michelle and Lisa.
Sandy worked at Fairchilds and later for Spurwink. Sandy had strong faith in Jesus Christ and attended Faith Assembly. She enjoyed the beach, family outings, and especially singing. Sandy had a beautiful voice. Sandy will be remembered for her caring and giving ways.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Carol Morrell.
Sandy is survived by her daughters Michelle Kasaei-Fard (Shahram) of Yarmouth and Lisa Holt (Shawn) of South Portland; brothers Eugene LeDuc (Marcia) of Westbrook, Michael LeDuc and Robert LeDuc both of Florida; seven grandchildren, Jack Collins (Leilani), Annelise Donahue (Kane), Madelyn Donahue, Sarah Donahue, Abby LaFrance (Alex), Jasmine Kasaei-Fard and fiancé Gordon Whittemore, and Kian Kasaei-Fard.
The family would like to thank Northern Lights Hospice for their care and compassion.
At Sandy’s request, there will be a private memorial and burial.
