Officials are looking for a Maine prisoner who left a jobsite in Thomaston on Monday.

Brian Day, 45, who has been incarcerated at Bolduc Correctional Facility in Warren, left the jobsite in Thomaston without permission, the Maine Department of Corrections said in a news release.

The department says has initiated its Fugitive Investigation Apprehension Team.

The department is advising anyone with information about Day’s whereabouts to call 911 and not to approach him.

Day was sentenced in October to 3 1/2 years for theft and forgery, among other offenses, according to the department resident locator. He has since “earned a classification level of community custody,” the department said, permitting him to work in the community during the workday.
