A motorcyclist died and a juvenile passenger was severely injured in a Casco crash on Thursday night, authorities said.

Kyle Lunn, 34, of Casco, was killed in the crash, which shut down Route 302 between State Park Road and Tenney Hill for several hours Thursday night, the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office said.

Lunn was driving a 2003 Honda motorcycle around 8:45 p.m. when he crossed over the center line, colliding with a 2011 Lexus sedan, police said.

A juvenile passenger on the motorcycle was taken to Maine Medical Center in Portland with life-threatening injuries, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.

The driver of the sedan was taken to Bridgton Hospital with minor injuries, the sheriff’s office said.

The sheriff’s office and Windham Police Department crash reconstruction unit are investigating the crash, according to the sheriff’s office.
