June A. Cartwright
PORTLAND – June A. Cartwright, 93, passed away on May 8, 2026, at Mercy Hospital. June was born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island on May 26, 1932, the daughter of the late Frederick J. and Alice T. (Sullivan) Cartwright.
June moved to Portland in 1945 and attended Deering High School, graduating in 1951. She went on to work for New England Mutual Life Insurance Company. She lived on Allen Avenue with her family and dearly missed her sister, Corrine.
June was predeceased by her parents; two brothers, Frederick J. Cartwright Jr. and Raymond J. Cartwright; and her beloved sister, Corrine Cartwright.
Prayers will be recited at the funeral home at 10 a.m., on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at the new Conroy-Tully Walker, Cremation, Funeral and Gathering Center, 300 Allen Ave., Portland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on June 11, at The Oratory of St. Joseph, 673 Stevens Ave. Portland. June will be laid to rest in Evergreen Cemetery following Mass.
