James Healy

SCARBOROUGH – James Healy of Scarborough, died May 24, 2026, at the Veteran’s Home in Scarborough.

Jim was born July 7, 1942, in Manchester, New Hampshire. He was educated in Manchester schools, and after graduating from Bishop Bradley High School he joined the U.S. Navy. He was in the U.S.S Antietam during the Cuban Missile Crisis.

After leaving the Navy he attended Plymouth State College, graduating in 1966. He then spent his career teaching Science.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Patty, of Scarborough, son Andy and partner Charlene of Laconia, N.H., son Chris and partner Jan of Westbrook, brother Bob Healy and wife Judy of Hampton, N.H.; sister Anne James and husband Hank of Portland; sister Mary Kilrain and husband Tom of Manchester, N.H.; sister-in-law Sally Healy of York; and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at the Scarborough Hospitality Center at Hobbs Funeral Home at 671 Route 1, Scarborough, on Sunday June 14, from 12:30-3 p.m.

Private interment of ashes at the family plot in Franklin, N.H., will occur at a later date.

The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to everyone at the Veteran’s Home in Scarborough. If anyone wishes to further remember Jim, it would be through this

wonderful place.
