Susan W. Given
FALMOUTH – Susan W. Given, 83, passed away on May 12, 2026.
Susan was born in Portland on Dec. 6, 1942, to Richard H. Woodbury and Virginia (Elliott) Woodbury. She graduated from Deering High School and later graduated at Gorham State Teachers College.
On June 29, 1968, she married her late husband, David N. Given, with whom she shared many years of marriage and family life.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Janet Shah.
During her final year, Susan resided in Falmouth. She previously lived in Yarmouth and Gray, where she built lasting friendships and connections throughout the years.
Susan is survived by her son, Jeffrey Given, and his fiancée, Sarah Walter; her five grandchildren, Lexi Given, Lara Given, Meena Shah, Ravi Shah, and Sanjay Shah; and her siblings.
Sue enjoyed spending time at the beach in Jonesport, with family and friends. She also always looked forward to her bridge games, which she played twice a week with a close circle of friends.
She will be remembered for her warmth, strength, and the love she shared with family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on June 18 from 1–3 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Gray.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Camp Sunshine in Casco
