Brian K. Donovan
FREEPORT – Brian K. Donovan, a lifelong resident of Freeport, passed away on June 14, 2026, at the age of 64.
Born on Oct. 18, 1961, Brian was the son of Lloyd Donovan and Kay (Bailey) Donovan. He grew up in Freeport and remained deeply connected to his hometown throughout his life.
Brian worked for many years as a mason until his sight was taken by complications from diabetes. He also worked at L.L.Bean and in the RSU 5 School District, where he was respected for his dedication and steady work ethic.
Brian loved his dog Meg and cat Nellie, Meg was by his side wherever he went. She loved him unconditionally without any expectations.
Brian found joy in the simple things in life -motorcycles, old cars, and “junking” with his uncle Dave. He especially enjoyed his trips to Laconia on his bike and time spent at Moosehead with his buddies. Brian also cherished the time he spent with his cousin Benny, valuing their visits and conversations.
Brian is survived by his brother Brad and sister-in-law Sherry; his nieces Jessica (Mark) and Erin; his great-nieces Sydney Mooney and Emma Libby Donovan; and several cousins in Maine and Canada.
Despite the challenges he faced later in life, Brian remained strong, resilient, and deeply connected to his family and friends. His presence will be greatly missed and remembered by all who knew him.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., on July 10, 2026, at Lindquist Funeral Home, 1 Mayberry Lane, Yarmouth. Please visit http://www.lindquistfuneralhome.com to sign Brian’s online guest book.
