Neal A. Adams
HOLLIS – Neal A. Adams, 79, passed away on June 27, 2026. He was born on Nov. 24, 1946, in Randolph, Vt., a son of the late Archie and G. Evelyn (Boudro) Adams, loved and raised by Ethel Bloomfield, graduated from Randolph, Vt. schools.
Neal proudly served our country for 23 years in the US Navy. During his enlistment, he was a S.E.R.E. instructor who taught survival skills to fellow sailors.
For 20 years after his honorable discharge from the Navy, Neal was employed in the maintenance division of the United States Postal Service.
He was a member of the Bar Mills Community Church where he served on the church council and helping with dinners, the American Legion – Hutchinson Boulter Post #130, the Hollis Honkers Snowmobile Club where he served as a president, the Hollis Fire Department years ago, and was a lifetime member of the DAV.
Neal enjoyed ramming around with Sue, fishing, hunting, cooking, snowmobiles, stock cars, going to Beech Ridge Motor Speedway and meeting new people everywhere he went.
He was predeceased by two siblings, Sharlene Jones and Dennis Adams.
Neal is survived by his beloved wife, Alice “Sue” Adams; children, Patricia Jo Whitehouse and her husband Wayne of Limington, and Leanne Nancy Burlew and her husband Kevin of Kentucky; brothers, Ronald and Bruce Adams, both of Vermont; grandchildren, Kyle Wayne Whitehouse and his significant other Madison Zygadlo, and Hallie Beth Burlew; great granddaughter, Caylee Whitehouse; and many dear church members and friends.
A memorial service to celebrate Neal’s life will be held on July 6 at 1 p.m. at the Bar Mills Community Church, 13 Hermit Thrush Dr., Buxton. Refreshments will follow at the church. Burial will then follow at South Buxton Cemetery at 3 p.m.
