Maine State Police are investigating the deaths of a man and woman found dead in a home in West Bath Monday.
Sagadahoc County Sheriff’s Department deputies responded to a residence on State Road for a welfare check on Monday around 10:45 a.m. and found two dead adults, Department of Public Safety spokesperson Shannon Moss said Thursday.
State police responded to assist with the investigation and identified the people as 77-year-old Carolyn Harris and 75-year-old Kevin Harris, both of West Bath, Moss said.
Both people were transported to the Office of Chief Medical Examiner in Augusta for autopsies.
The investigation is ongoing but there is no danger to the public, Moss said.
