This morning, I, like others, received a text from Troy Jackson: “I am incredibly proud to be their (Maine Democrats’) choice for Democratic nominee in our U.S. Senate race.”
I am an ABC voter (Anybody But Collins). Whether intentional or not, Mr. Jackson’s misrepresentation of his status just five days prior to Saturday’s convention, contained in this “Mainers have spoken” statement, is troublesome.
I do not know the man, but this statement, in addition to last week’s debate performance, clearly indicates to me that Democrats and independents have a better choice to represent our best interests in Washington, D.C.
