PORTLAND — The condition of the seabed in the Casco Bay shipping channel will be studied with funding from a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency grant.

The $350,000 grant to the Portland Harbor Commission was announced May 28 by the office of U.S. Rep. Chellie Pingree, D-Maine. It is part of a total of $2.3 million in funding for assessments and cleanups throughout the state.
