The building at 506 Main St., shown in 1963, was built as a stockhouse for the S.D. Warren Paper Co. Over the years, the building, which sits adjacent to Guilford Rail Line, deteriorated and became a favorite target for vandals. Several years ago, paper mill owner Sappi sold it. Its new owners renovated it, and several businesses, including the Stockhouse Restaurant, occupy it.
