Flanked by Pat McLellan, left, and Angela Guillette, the harmonizing duet known as The Jubilees, Sarah Johnson celebrates her 100th birthday with fellow residents at Scarborough Terrace last Thursday, April 5. Johnson and the others sang along with The Jubilees to their favorite gospel and oldies tunes, such as “High Hopes,” “Sunny Side of the Street” and “Bill Bailey, Won’t You Please Come Home.” Johnson, who grew up in West Buxton, moved to Scarborough Terrace in 2003. Daughter of Fred W. and Abigail Boothby Smith, she was one of five children. Johnson has one son, Robert E. Huff, who has four children with his wife Dottie. Johnson also has three step grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Happy 100th!
