“Scarborough at 350 – Linking the Past to the Present,” the 400-page book published in conjunction with next year’s observance of the town’s 30th anniversary, arrived at Scarborough Downs last week. On hand to see the final product were, from left, Rodney Laughton, historic fact checker; Annie Laughton, youngest contributing author; Sylvia Most, chairwoman of the book project; and John Lewis, reading committee chairman. Some 450 of the 2,000 books were immediately shipped out to retail stores and are now available for purchase. The book tells Scarborough history in stories and photographs by more than 70 volunteer contributors.
