Trinity pastor retires Sunday

The Rev. Thomas Chittick, pastor at Trinity Lutheran Church, is retiring and delivers his last sermon Sunday.

The church is honoring Chittick with a retirement party from 3-6 p.m. on Saturday. The event will include a social hour preceding a program from 4-5 p.m. and followed by another social period. Brenda Orach, chairwoman of the church’s social ministry, said refreshments with a Danish touch would be served.

Orach said Chittick’s “personality, charm and humor” has been a great asset for the church. “His absence will leave a big hole in all our hearts as he has done such a wonderful job for our congregation,” Orach said in a statement.
