Sesame Street Magazine has noted Oct. 15 as National Grouch Day. So in recognition of the one day that everybody is able to be grouchy and get away with it, and out of respect for Oscar the Grouch, the American Journal photographer hit the streets for grouchy faces. While the adults refused to be photographed, they didn’t hesitate mention what made them grouchy – oil prices, bad drivers and bills. Westbrook children found a few reasons to be grouchy, too.
Lily Perry, 4, of Westbrook. “Sleeping makes me grouchy.”
Alana Grubb, 5, of Westbrook. “When my sister takes my toys, that makes me grouchy.”
Ahlyisen Kearns, 4, of Westbrook. “Going to school makes me grouchy.”
Gregory Ojiem, 6, of Westbrook. “Doing my homework makes me grouchy.”
Tiana Grubb, 7, of Westbrook. “Bedtime makes me grouchy.”
