Write-in candidates in Gorham are now required to file intent to have votes counted in the upcoming November election, according to a change in state law.
The law requires that write-in candidates register their intent to run at least three business days prior to the election. Write-in candidates for Gorham openings need to file in the Gorham Municipal Center, 75 South St., by Thursday, Nov. 1. Write-in votes will not be counted unless the person has filed by the deadline.
