Gorham police continued a search Wednesday for a gunman who held up a pharmacy and escaped with oxycontin.
In a report, Lt. Chris Sanborn said a male displayed a small caliber, semi-automatic handgun in the robbery at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Community Pharmacy, 365 Main St. The man handed the pharmacist a note demanding oxycontin and fled on foot with drug.
Police believe the man fled the area in a vehicle that waited on Libby Avenue.
Sanborn described the gunman as 6-feet tall, with a medium build. He was wearing a black jacket with a white band around the mid-section, dark blue wind pants, a scarf covering his face and a dark green knitted cap.
