CUTLINE ONLY:
This tractor-trailer driven by Stephen Copeland tipped over in Westbrook at about 20 minutes to 7 Wednesday morning as he attempted to take a left off Riverside Street and get on the turnpike at Exit 48. John Davis of the Maine State Police said Copeland was probably going a little too fast to maneuver the corner, but that Copeland said the trailer’s load had shifted as he turned, causing the flip. Copeland said he’s “a little sore,” and that when he saw the tires lifting as he rounded the corner, everything was in slow motion. “I won’t be driving the rest of the day,” Copeland said, visibly shaken up from the accident. Crews were called in to right the truck, which was carrying wood products.
