Meeting
The Rebekahs will meet at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 6 in the Odd Fellows Hall. There will be a reception for five new candidates to join the organization. They will also have the second nomination of officers.
Birthday
June Hawkes, of Windham Center Road, celebrated her birthday Aug. 24. She spent time with family.
Skowhegan Fair
Alan O’Brien, Haskell Road, showed his Jersey and Ayrshire cattle at the Skowhegan State Fair Aug. 14 and 16. He took one first, two seconds and one third place. He will show next at the Windsor Fair.
Yard Sale
There will be a yard sale Sept. 9 at the Odd Fellows Hall from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. This will be a benefit for the Windham Historical Society and the Swan Right of Way.
Meeting
The Windham Health Council will meet Sept. 6 at 1 p.m. at the home of Elsie Haskell, Nash Road. Refreshments will be served. New members are always welcome.
Supper
A public ham and bean supper will be held on Saturday, Sept. 9 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Windham Hill Church, Windham Center Road. The menu includes: ham and hot dogs, three varieties of baked beans, potato salad, tossed salad, macaroni and cheese, brown bread and biscuits, homemade pies, coffee, tea and punch. The donation is $6 for adults and $2.50 for children 12 and under.
Anniversary
Kevin and Melissa Bailey celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary Aug. 25. They celebrated quietly with their daughter, Cassidy.
