Back in the early 1900s, vacationers and visitors to Windham, as well as local families, visited the mineral spring, off the Roosevelt Trail in North Windham, for a “getaway.” Sometimes they “took the water” because of its reputed healthy qualities. Sometimes they just took a break from the daily routine. One enterprising man had plans to bottle the water and sell it commercially. This is the original spring house, as it once appeared at what is now known as Mineral Spring Estates.
