Two local organizations collaborating on an “Economic Development Vision and Plan” for the town of Scarborough will be meeting with local business and community leaders and seeking public input in the coming months.
The Scarborough Economic Development Corporation and the Scarborough Community Chamber began meeting in the fall of 2008. The anticipated completion date is fall 2009.
The groups aim to pin down where Scarborough wants to be in the future with regard to economic development, and how to get there. They have presented the concept to their respective boards and to the Town Council, where they say it was well received.
