Two housing projects with many elderly people remained without power late Wednesday in Westbrook.

Barbara Soloway of Westbrook Housing Authority said 36 apartments at Larribee Heights didn’t have power and another 25 apartments at Larribee Woods had partial electric service. Each of those apartments depend on electricity for heat.

Soloway said the emergency shelter in Westbrook had closed. “We are beside ourselves with worry,” Soloway said.
