Fresh lobster?

On Nov. 24, police were dispatched to the intersection of Ocean House Road and Scott Dyer Road for a report of a lobster trap in the roadway. Upon arrival, police observed the trap with no one around to claim it. The trap is green with a yellow buoy inside.

Burglary thwarted

On Nov. 25, police received a report of a motor vehicle burglary in progress at a residence in the Shore Road area. The suspect was gone when officers arrived and nothing appeared missing. Police did notice signs of trespass in a neighbor’s yard and contacted the homeowner. A checkbook was missing from the vehicle.

Calling and charged

On Nov. 26 a resident of the Shore Road area reported a motor vehicle burglary. Missing from the car was a green LG Rumor cellphone and charger valued at $300.

Free ride

On Nov. 30, a cab driver on Scott Dyer Road notified police that his fare had jumped out of the cab and ran off without paying the amount due. Police later located the subject, who was intoxicated. The cab driver was paid.

Tuned out

On Dec. 5, a resident of the Shore Road area reported a motor vehicle had been burglarized and an IPod and charger valued at $350 were taken.

Forced entry

On Dec. 7, police went to a residence on Ocean House Road in response to a burglary complaint. Forced entry into the residence had been made, but nothing appeared to be missing at the time.
