Organizers of Gorham Marketplace report that about 2,000 people attended this year’s event, held March 30 at the Gorham campus of the University of Southern Maine.
The annual event, sponsored by Gorham Business Exchange, showcases local products and services available from Gorham vendors along with entertainment.
It featured entertainment and demonstrations, food court, kids’ activities, a shuttle bus service and cash prizes.
Among the highlights were an airbag deployment by Moody’s, massage, dogs to pet, fitness advice, local dancers, bounce houses, Girl Scout cookies on sale and laser tag.
“Gorham Marketplace was an upbeat, popular event again this year,” Dede Perkins, executive director of the business exchange, said Tuesday.
Perkins said the food court and kids’ area were busy, and kids and adults alike enjoyed Rick Charette’s concert.
Planning gets under way in September for the 2014 Marketplace.
