COFFEETREE and 100 5991
Though crazy caps are encouraged for guests of the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, held Tuesday as a part of Westbrook’s Festival of Trees, Kathy Smith, top photo, takes the theme even further by dressing herself up as a decorated Christmas tree. Smith says she will be reappearing throughout the week in different costumes, as an elf and as The Cat in the Hat. Marion Broaddus, the event’s coordinator, wears a hat made by Sunday school students from the Westbrook-Warren Congregational Church, which hosts the festival. The festival continues until 2 p.m. Saturday.
