On Dec. 8, a resident reported to police that a blond woman, age approximately 50, was trying to open the back door to the resident’s house. The resident reported the woman left in a dark-colored SUV, possible a Toyota RAV-4.

Which lane?

On Dec. 8, drivers reported that a green Jeep was driving erratically into oncoming traffic on Route 1 from the Holly Street area. Police were unable to locate the driver.

Friendly fire

On Dec. 9, residents reported hearing several gunshots on County Road. Police determined that probably the Game Warden Service was in the area.

Rude caller

On Dec. 9, a business advised police it had been receiving phone calls from a person claiming to be with Yellowbook. The business reported that the caller was rude and said the business owed Yellowbook hundreds of dollars. Police tracked the number. The calls were out of Hampton, N.Y.
