A week later, Windham police are still searching for a gunman who robbed Dunkin’ Donuts in Windham early Sunday morning.
Wearing a black ski mask, a man brandished a black handgun and demanded cash from a clerk at 12:52 a.m. at the shop at 736 Roosevelt Trail (Route 302) in North Windham. Police said the man fled on foot with an “undetermined” amount of cash.
Sgt. Dave Thomas of the Windham police reported a canine unit tracked the gunman to a nearby parking lot. There, the gunman apparently left in a vehicle. Thomas said no customers were in the restaurant during the robbery.
Thomas described the gunman as 5-feet-8-inches tall with a medium build. The gunman was wearing a blue jacket and black pants.
Police said the clerk at Dunkin’ Donuts was unhurt. Anyone with information about the holdup is urged to call Windham police at 892-2525.
