On Nov. 6, Westbrook voters will elect to the city council those men and women they believe are most capable of leading this city forward for the next two years. We can think of no one more qualified for this responsibility than current Ward 2 councilor, Drew Gattine.
An energetic, forward-thinking optimist, Drew has consistently demonstrated his commitment to the people and the city of Westbrook over the last four years. On issues ranging from developing sound economic policy, to protecting Westbrook’s traditional, established neighborhoods, to preserving its rural and open spaces, Drew excels at understanding complex issues and reaching workable solutions.
Drew listens. His willingness to work with numerous citizen groups and other councilors on city-wide matters is indispensable, particularly at a time when many people distrust or feel disenfranchised from even the local decision-making process. Moreover, Drew brings to the council essential business acumen in the areas of fiscal responsibility and accountability, political transparency and proactive communication. He is thoughtful, deliberate and consistent on the issues.
We are fortunate to have Drew and his wife, Elizabeth, in our community and as our neighbors. They work tirelessly for the betterment of Westbrook. We urge the voters of Ward 2 to re-elect Drew Gattine to the Westbrook City Council.
