Bill’s Gulf Station, left, operated by William Richards, was located on Main Street at Haskell Street. Richards went out of business and in later years the building served as an Interstate 95 service station. The building was demolished in the 1980s and the lot remained vacant for several years until the city of Westbrook took over the land to serve as a parking area for the new Public Safety Building.
