Big doin’s

Buxton Community Day will be held on Saturday, July 19, at Tory Hill, intersection of routes 202 and 112.

Activities include a pancake breakfast, parade, pony rides, amusement rides, entertainment, food, crafts, games for all ages and fireworks. The event is in conjunction with the annual Dorcas Society Fair.

Play at Grange Hall

Several performances of “Salt Water Moon” will be presented this month at Saco River Grange Hall, 29 Salmon Falls Road, Bar Mills.

Humorous and romantic, the play by David French will be presented at 7:30 p.m. on July 18, 19, 24, 25 and 26 with a matinee at 2:30 p.m. on July 20. Tickets are $15; students and seniors, $13. Thursday, July 24, will be pay-what-you-can.
