The Westbrook American reported on March 11, 1964, that Gorham elected Ralph P. Goodrich and Solomon J. Carson as selectmen for third consecutive terms; Ralph E. Newell was re-elected town clerk; and Elmer W. Dodge was re-elected to the School Committee for a third term.
Seaman Peter Goodson, son of Mrs. Richard Pinkham of Buxton, was home on a three-week furlough before being assigned to duty at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.
