Bonny Eagle High School T-Cell Club recently presented its annual HIV/AIDS awareness assembly with ninth-grade classes mading up most of the audience.

During the assembly, the team presented a $3,000 check to the Frannie Peabody Center, the largest community-based HIV/AIDS services organization in Maine.

The T-Cell team was created for the education of adolescents about AIDS, and the team also raises money for area AIDS charities.

The team raises its money by working at the high school craft fair, participating in a walk-a-thon, hosting the AIDS ball, and by using a donation jar at various evening events at the school.

Officers of the T-Cell Team are Clint Cyr, president; Perry Cyr, vice president; Lauren Wallace, secretary; Nick Buck, treasurer; and Sarah Dodge, historian. Additional members are Kaity Saulle, Cody Carlson, Linsay Sabourin, Ella Lair, Anastasia Thompson, Kelsey Hebert, and Katie Coulling. The adviser is Carla Turner.
