Lessard, Bernstein engaged

Jerry and Julie Lessard of Westbrook have announced the engagement of their son, Andrew Joseph Lessard, to Katie Ann Bernstein.

Bernstein is the daughter of Robert and Bonnie Bernstein of Cleveland, Ohio.

Lessard is a graduate of Westbrook High School. He and the bride-to-be are both graduates of Boston University.

The wedding celebration will be held in June at Spruce Point Inn in Boothbay Harbor.

Class of ’57 plans 50th

Ron Usher, a former state senator, said the Westbrook High School class of 1957 would observe its 50th reunion with three days of activities next month.

Usher said more than 100 people are expected to attend activities on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 7, 8 and 9. He said classmates are coming from several states and one from Thailand.

The class, the first to graduate from the new high school, will visit the school, and Usher will take classmates and guests on a tour of the city to view the changes over the past half century. A banquet will be on Sept. 8 at the Holiday Inn.

Flashback in park

Flashback will be in concert 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday at Riverbank Park. The free concert is part of a summer series sponsored by the recreation department.

‘Hairspray’ reminder

Westbrook Senior Citizens will see “Hairspray” on Wednesday, Aug. 29, at the Ogunquit Playhouse.

Bouffard called to duty

Army National Guard Pfc. Jonathan M. Bouffard has been mobilized and activated for a future deployment to an undisclosed overseas location in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Bouffard is a military police member normally assigned to the 16th Military Police Company in Brewer. He is the son of Lisa M. Bouffard of Constitution Drive, Westbrook.

Got Milk? tour to visit

The Got Milk? Mustache Mobile tour will be at Smiling Hill Farm, 781 County Road, Westbrook, 12-2 p.m. on Saturday, to encourage residents to make better beverage choices.

Those attending can see how their beverages stack up with a personalized beverage analysis from a registered dietitian, and take a milk mustache photo for their fridge.
