I write to inform you and solicit your support for a mayoral candidate. He is bright, energetic, enthusiastic, a listener, a leader, and a businessman here in Westbrook. His name is James Violette.

I have known Jim for many years, being introduced to him by my mother, who grew up in Van Buren, Maine, with him. At about the age of 10 when Jim was first elected to the council, I had begun to watch the meetings. I was always fascinated with his expertise and someday dreamed that I could be in his same seat. I never thought I would be doing it at age 18, but I am and I believe I am ready to serve our city as a councilor at-large. Watching Jim for the last eight years of my life, I have learned a lot from the right person, and hope I can fill his space on the council.

Though he won’t be on the council, we need him in our city government. He cares and is here to represent the citizens. Being a businessman in Westbrook, he knows what it takes for our city to grow and prosper. I recommend that everyone in Westbrook not only get out and vote on Nov. 8, but in support of myself Michael Foley, and my good friend James Violette, to move Westbrook forward.
