GORHAM – A fire late Easter Sunday afternoon destroyed a garage at the home at 215 Buck St. in Gorham.
The blaze follows three recent fires in unoccupied Gorham buildings that have been ruled arson by the State Fire Marshal’s Office.
Gorham Fire Chief Robert Lefebvre said at the scene it was too early to know the cause of Sunday’s fire. An investigator from the fire marshal’s office was reportedly at the scene, along with Gorham Police Chief Ronald Shepard and Sgt. Sears Edwards of Gorham police.
Lefebvre said no one was home at the time of the fire and he said the garage was served by electricity. Two vehicles appeared destroyed.
Firefighters fought the blaze with water from a nearby stream, and firefighters from Standish assisted Gorham.
