This month the Thomas Memorial Library in Cape Elizabeth is holding a couple special events. Up first is, “Tick Talk: Lyme Disease Prevention,” with Bob Maurais from Mainely Ticks, which will be held on Wednesday, June 14, at 6:30 p.m.
A 25-minute presentation will be followed by a question-and-answer period. Maurais will discusses strategies to better protect your family from ticks and tick-borne diseases, including personal protection strategies, landscape modifications and the life cycle of the deer tick. Educational literature will be distributed including tick identification guides and bookmarks.
Then, on June 21, at 6:30 p.m., the library will host an Organizational Zen workshop with Janie Maxwell. Maxwell will teach program attendees how to be better organized and get more done. See www.thomasmemoriallibrary.org or call 799-1720 for more information.
