See alewife migration
The Presumpscot Regional Land Trust is hosting two opportunities for the public to view alewife fish migrations at the Mill Brook Preserve in Westbrook.
The first of two events to view the migrations from Casco Bay to Highland Lake is at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 27. This two-hour event will be led by a local alewife expert.
The second event will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, June 3, led by alewife experts Dr. Karen Wilson and Dr. Theo Willis of the University of Southern Maine Environmental Science and Policy Department.

Historians annual meeting
Westbrook Historical Society will hold its annual meeting at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 7, at the Westbrook Community Center, 426 Bridge St.
There will not be a program.
Books & Brownies
Walker Memorial Library, 800 Main St. is hosting its Books & Brownies fundraiser from noon to 5 p.m. on Friday, June 2, and from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturday, June 3, during Westbrook Together Days.
The book sale is a fundraiser for Friends of the Walker Memorial Library.
Food train on a roll
The recent, sixth annual “Climb Aboard the Food Train,” a city-wide food drive for the Westbrook Food Pantry, was a huge success, according to Trinity Lutheran Church.
“We raised $8,524.80 and collected 148 large boxes of food,” the church said in an announcement.
“Many of our elderly, children, disabled, unemployed and underemployed people in the community come to the pantry on a regular basis in order to have enough to eat.”
